Value engineering on automotive subassemblies during the principal development

Brief:

Our client is an automotive developer and producer. The manufacturing costs of subassemblies in development must be reduced to the target cost while still upholding strict quality standards.

Services:

- Perform intensive value engineering on all components involved in the

development.

- Chair and coordinate the development team.

- Perform cost calculations for priority A components.

- Prepare calculations for price negotiations with suppliers.

- Support the purchasing negotiations.

- Support the project management.

Results:

A decrease in costs of up to 14% compared with the previous level of manufacturing costs thanks to technical modifications and a lower purchase price. Our services were requested during the development of similar subassemblies for three further models.
